Purpose
The purpose of the Always commercial is to connect to people emotionally to sell their product. They are trying to make young women feel empowered and good about themselves. They have people of different ages come in to talk about doing actions “like a girl”. They later have them analyze how and when the phrase “like a girl” become an insult. It shows that at a younger age kids do not look at it in an insulting way, It is around the preteen years that they get those insults and degrading phrases used at in school growing up. Always is trying to change that. By showing women what they stand for, they are selling their products persuasively.

Emotional tactics used:
~ Using younger girls and young boys in commercial
~ Talking about what “like a girl” means to them
~ The younger boy talking at first doesn’t think that girls get shamed and insulted, after talking about how his sister would feel he realizes she would be upset at that

Always has very great commercials and this was only one of the many. A lot of women buy their products since they stand for many great things that the consumers respect. Their brand is very very big and still growing its consumer base. Making these kinds of ads to show what their purpose is and what they stand for is very good for their products that they sell.

My first impression:
I thought that this commercial was a little shocked when I saw how the younger kids reacted to the actions. I enjoyed the commercial very much and it stuck with me when it first came out.
Being a girl, this commercial was effective since I heard these kinds of comment a lot in middle school. Boys hear this too when they do something a certain way and they get told they are “doing it like a girl” and to man up or so. This commercial was effective in that aspect.
Always
Always has very great commercials and this was only one of the many. A lot of women buy their products since they stand for many great things that the consumers respect. Their brand is very very big and still growing its consumer base. Making these kinds of ads to show what their purpose is and what they stand for is very good for their products that they sell.
